Rishikesh is city in the Dehradun District of Uttarakhand state, India. Rishikesh is positioned at 409 meters above sea level in the hills of Garhwal Himalayan Range and bounded by the Shivalik range. Rishikesh is 35 kms distant from Haridwar, 90 Kms from Mussoorie, 25 Kms from Jolly grant air field Dehradun, and 240 kms from New Delhi.

Rishikesh has remarkable view of jungle-clad peaks. Rishikesh has also convergence of River Ganges and Chandrabhaga. The magnificent attraction of Rishikesh is nothing other than the great river Ganges, Darting rapidly through the city. In the prime time and still countless yogis, rishis, sages as well as sannyasis are attracted to Rishikesh to practice yoga in this peaceable location. Since then, Rishikesh has been recognized as an abode of sages. Rishikesh is a divine town with so many Ashrams and it is well-known for the yoga worldwide. Rishikesh is now world recognized as a Yoga Capital of the world. Each year throughout the March month one week lengthy International yoga festival is held by Rishikesh.
