The showiness town of Dhanaulti is upcoming as a popular winter destination because of its peaceful views and its proximity to Delhi and various other cities of Uttarakhand. This fairylike hill station is perched at an elevation of 2286 meters over sea level and offers all-around views of the lofty Himalayas.



Now the story is that the king of this area was Sudarshan Shah who started his dynasty here and made Tehri his centre and other kings of his reign ruled this area from 1815 to 1949. Dhanaulti was a part of the Tehri Garhwal region before the freedom of India.
