Cable Car Ride

The cable car ride is one of the major attractions in Auli. It is popularly known as Gondola in the local context. It is the second-highest cable car ride in Asia after Gulmarg. Covering a total distance of 4 kilometres, it takes a total time of around 24 minutes. This is considered among the best activities to do in Auli as you can enjoy the magnificent Himalayan peaks in the backdrops and the lush green valley below. The sparkling views and beautiful panoramic views are a vision to behold.




The ropeway can accommodate up to 25 passengers at a time, where passengers have to keep standing as there are no seats. Also, this cable car moves at a speed of 3 meters per second.

How to reach: The best way to board the ropeway is by first getting to Joshimath which is well connected by road and approximately 300 kilometers from Dehradun.
