Uttarakhand is an Indian state in the Himalayas. The state is commonly known as Devbhoomi (land of Gods) due to the manifestation of numerous Hindu pilgrimage sites. The Indian state of Uttarakhand is situated in the Northern part of the country. Uttarakhand Tourism has jumped to countless heights attracting a plethora of guests from all over the country and the world after its formation. Earlier, the state was a portion of Uttar Pradesh and was created as a single state entity on 9th November 2000. The capital town of the state is Dehradun. It shares its border with China and the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. The state of Uttarakhand is well-known for its mountains, valleys, lush greenery, the enormous rivers, and the history and philosophy of the mountain groups like the Garhwalis and Kumaonis.
